Final session for Emily as she just graduated Williams College – congrats Emily, you will be missed.
We got to meet Sean’s Mom and Dad and Emily’s Mom. A welcome to Rob’s son, Tim, on his first visit.

ON OUR TABLES:
Just One (Led by K-ban and Sean) we combined my set of easels with Armando’s and got 13 around 2 tables, A great cooperative clue giving game. 2018 German game of the year.
Acquire (led by K-ban) 1964 hotel chain building game by Sid Sackson. One of the original 3M bookshelf games that’s been reprinted umpteen times around the world. Why now? because Foundations of Rome paid homage to Acquire as did Wolfgang Kramer’s Big Boss….which should appear on our tables shortly. play cards/tiles, create hotel chains, buy shares, merge chains and cash out.
Scotland Yard (led by Drew) 1983 classic as Mr X leads the detectives on a chase through London. The detectives use buses, taxis and the Underground to try to catch him – in this case, Drew – who escaped.
Altiplano (led by Tim) 2017 bag-builder set in the Andes. Build your economy to include Alpacas, fish, silver, cacao and corn – and the goods they produce.
Umbra Via (led by Armando) 2021 auction, tile placing and area majority game where players compete to control and complete the most cunning paths. Reach into your bag to select wooden flowers, then place them on your secret board in the order of the paths you want most. But when players reveal their choices, things get delightfully tricky.
Pirate Den (led by Sean) short 2015 bluffing game for up to 5 Pirates. Plunder the seas, steal from your rivals, and bury your treasure to protect it. The captain with the most loot at the end of the game, wins.
Bluffaneer (led by Rob) – 2021 bluffing Pirate dice game.
Codenames Pictures (led by Rob) 2016 first sequel to Codenames using pictures with multiple elements instead of words. Same team rules as with the base game.
Brian Boru: High King of ireland (led by Sean) 2021 game that combines area control with trick-taking
Happy City (led by K-ban) 2021 entry level engine builder….excellent for getting family members and non-gamers to get familiar with modern drafting mechanics and tableau building.
