Take It Easy

(led by Tim & Sandy) 1983 bingo-like hexagonal puzzle game that is very family friendly and addictive. It also scales well. One of these days we will try to play with the suns and moons, too – for more scoring opportunities….or ways for your brain to implode 

Ticket to Ride: United Kingdom expansion

(led by Edward) 2015 expansion map that uniquely uses technology upgrades, as railroads expand both in size and territorial concessions. Locomotive cards become far more important than in the base game as they are needed to purchase technologies.

Planted

(led by K-ban) the 2022 Phil Walker Harding pick, pass and play game of houseplants that we didn’t get to play the previous session. If you liked Sushi Go! then this is the next logical progression for you before tackling 7 Wonders. A Target exclusive at under $30 and considering the quality of the components, an excellent buy. Even the loneliest Target store (Lanesboro) has copies. 

7 Wonders Architects

(led by Tim) 2021 stand-alone addition to the 7 Wonders family. Instead of pick, pass and play, cards are drafted from decks situated between you and your two neighbors. Up to 7 players receive an unconstructed Wonder at the beginning of the game and must collect resources to build their society, develop military might to navigate conflicts, oversee resource management, research science improvements, and collect civil victory points as they race to leave their mark on world history.

Barenpark (led by K-ban) 2017 tetris-like polyomino game, where players design their ideal Bear Park. We used the Grizzlies portion of the Bad News Bears expansion which adds a 5th park tile, larger enclosure tiles for Grizzly bears and more bear statue bonuses. We still have more requests for the base game from Tim and Amy, so watch for it at our next request night. We could be adding the monorails soon with experienced players.
