Herb is the Editor/Publisher of Gamer’s Alliance Review….publishing quarterly game reviews since 1986. Herb was the 2011 recipient of the prestigious Parker-Bradley Award from the American Game and Puzzle Collectors.

Loopin’ Louie – silly fun as Louie is ‘Just Plane Outta Control’ flying his biplane in search of chickens. Last man standing wins.It’s a kid’s toy….so what, we’re all big kids anyhow

Deep Sea Adventure – Tim led this Japanese game of deep sea treasure hunting with a limited supply of oxygen. A light push your luck game.

Super Mega Lucky Box – K-ban led this Phil Walker-Harding light Flip and Write game where you write on the cards. Handles up to 6 so it will be an occasional opening game. 2021 brand new release from Gamewright. This young Australian game designer is on a winning streak with: Sushi Go, Cacao, Bear Park, Silver & Gold, Gizmos and Imhotep.

Parks (with the Nightfall expansion) – Tim led this beautifully produced worker placement-path- resource management game about hiking in our National Parks
5 teams of hikers stretched the limits of the game (should be capped at 4 for time expediency) but it plays well

Cat Lady – Wendy led this light drafting, set collection and resource management game

Okanagan: Valley of the Lakes – Armando led this 2017 tile-laying game. If you were frustrated by Carcassonne, this Emanuele Ornella design will scratch that itch better IMHO, as it allows drafting of tiles you receive, set collecting and more area influence possibilities.

Dingo’s Dreams – Wendy led this pattern matching tile game that uses the tile pushing mechanic popularized by Ravensburg’s Labyrinth series.

Thanks to all our table leaders….Sean and I finally got practically the entire session off from leading. We appreciate your efforts, as leading a table for a new game takes time, effort and patience. If you did a great job of table leading, you likely did not come in first place….as you were more concerned that no gamer was left behind than in maximizing your own position/score.
