Our first single table experience since our first two sessions.
Thanks Armando for keeping things going with Sean & K-ban away.
Time to get back to a full house at Purple Dragon Games, with multiple tables of gaming goodness the order of the day.
Our special guests visiting the Berkshires this week for our 9/29 session are Gamers Alliance Reports Editor and Publisher Herb Levy and his better half – the lovely Lynn Lamb. Herb is one of the most competent game teachers on the planet and was honored as 2011 Parker-Bradley Man of the Year by the American Game and Puzzle Collectors. Herb has over 15,000 games in his collection. Herb and I have been friends since 1977 !

Since Herb & Lynn were close friends with the dean of American game designers ,Sid Sackson (and his wife Bernice) we will endeavor to get some classic Sid Sackson games to the table (Acquire, Can’t Stop, I’m the Boss, Bazaar, Choice/Einstein/Can’t Stop Express, Business, Holiday) Drew Davidson crossed paths with several of the same gaming luminaries as Herb.
We still need several of our regulars to sign up for our MeetUp group so you will receive invites (and reminders) and have the ability to RSVP by clicking on a button.
IN: Armando, Tim, Ben, Zach, and Margaret.
On the Table:
1) Sushi Go Party! (Tim led, all played) The up to 8-player version of Sushi Go with options for more varieties of Sushi…..2nd time on our tables and a great introduction to draft and pass games like 7 Wonders.
2) Super Mega Lucky Box (Armando led, all played) a delightful family game hitting our tables for the 3rd time.
3) Splendor (Armando led) – an excellent 2014 gateway game that should be in almost everyone’s collection. but first time for our sessions. There is currently a Marvel edition of Splendor…..has anyone in the group tried it?

4) Kabuto Sumo (Tim led and crowd-funded) a KickStarter 2-player dexterity game of pushing disks with Armando joining him for the fun ride) – finally, a situation where a 2-player game was perfect for the situation. At a future session we will attempt pairing off for a series 2-player games, as they fill a need when playing at home.

Pretty please…..if you intend to attend our sessions please communicate that by either clicking on the RSVP button on MeetUps or e-mailing K-ban. This helps us plan each session.
If you were previously part of the now defunct gaming groups in North Adams and Two Flights Up in Dalton (as well as the crew at the Gamer’s Grotto in Bennington), please lets us know as we’re trying to track down the regulars from those groups and need e-mail addresses to include them in our weekly fun.
