A rare evening, where most of our esteemed table leaders were OUT….so it was up to Rob & K-ban to lead
GameDAY this Saturday in North Adams (slight change in previously announced plans)
Unforeseen circumstances have postponed Drew’s leading ‘Die Macher’ for our inaugural First Saturday of the Month GameDAY at the newly opened Berkshire Adventurers Guild in North Adams. Instead, K-ban will be leading the worker placement game, ‘The Pursuit of Happiness’, where the end result is long term happiness and a fictitious life well spent by completing projects, acquiring items & activities, getting jobs, and forming love relationships, while achieving life goals and avoiding stress. Imagine a mash-up of ‘Game of Life’ with ‘Careers’ with cartoonish artwork, but as a real Eurogame.
Anyone want to step up and lead a longer game for our October 1 GameDAY?
Budget 2-3 hours, starting at 10 AM – 40 Eagle Street in North Adams, $5 board fee (with $5 in store merchandise in exchange) Amy,Danny and Steve are IN….best with 4 players but room for 5. If you plan to attend, kindly RSVP with your arrival time so we can plan accordingly and minimize any potential waiting time.
For our September 7 session, Armando is preparing to be our GameMaster for ‘Psychic Pizza Deliverers Go to the Ghost Town’ He can lead up to 4 players. This was a hit at the recently completed Gencon (as was Planted)

Planted (led by K-ban) 2022 Phil Walker-Harding pick & pass game on the care and handling of house plants. Beautifully produced – think of this as the mid-point between Sushi Go and 7 Wonders. Currently a Target exclusive and was a hit at Gencon.
Mass Transit (led by Edward) 2021 co-op, getting 6 commuters home to the burbs from the city via bus, rail and ferry. A WIN !
Atelier: The Painter’s Studio (led by Rob) 2019 players take on the role of artists managing an atelier, or art studio, during the 19th century. Roll dice, manage your assistants, collect needed paint, and complete famous works of art.
Completto (led by K-ban) 2015 German game of arranging chunky wooden tiles in ascending order with a few clever twists that take it beyond Rack-o.
Bluffaneer (led by Rob) 2021 game where pirates bluff and steal treasure from each other to get the most gold
Downtown Farmer’s Market (led by K-ban) 2022 4×4 clever tile puzzle game, where players get to choose their 8 goals. A rare 3-way tie for first in a 4-handed game.
Happy City (led by Sandy) 2021 entry level drafting game to create the happiest city…multiply your citizen symbols on 10 city buildings by your happines for the final score. Great for introducing non-gamers to drafting games like Villagers.
Deer in the Headlights (led by Rob) 2012 card and dice game where the object is to discard your entire hand of cards. Three dice are rolled on a player’s turn and the outcome of the dice determines what the player can discard (or pick-up) that turn.
Just One (group led) – a group score of 11 (with 2 passes, none wrong) in 2019 SdJ winner. Much laughter after consecutive cards with Cocoon and Caterpillar. Can you guess one of the words we passed on with remaining clues of ‘Antarctica’ and “Nun’ ?
