If listed as ??? above, kindly RSVP to Sean, as Sandy and I will be away on our annual 3-week road-trip to visit our daughter and my Mom in Florida.  Along the way I will be gaming with the Fredericksburg VA Gamers Guild on December 27 at the local Wegman’s – with my old LI Gamer friend ,Steve Adragna (aka The Dragon), before spending New Year’s Eve in Charlotte NC with dear friends who moved from LI.

I have left things in Sean’s very capable hands to keep the group’s momentum going in my absence. Please give him the same cooperation you have shown to me. I will post Sean’s session reports as I receive them. Kindly communicate your availability so Sean can plan our sessions with our table leaders. Thanks in advance for your cooperation.

Sail

(led by Tim)  2023 cooperative 2-player trick taking game with limited communication.

Tiger & Dragon

2x (led by Armando/Drew) 2021 beautifully produced shedding card game played with chunky tiles, with a variety of scoring cards for variability.

Savernake Forest

(led by Tim) 2023 drafting and tile placement game where players build their own section of the forest with paths, where animals and food will appear. To get the highest score, players must ensure that on each path the animals can collect their favorite food.

Diced Veggies

(led by Sean) 2023 set collection dice game where dice represent ingredients for recipes.

Junk Drawer

4x (led by K-ban/Drew) 2023 polyomino game where players place items into 4 compartments of a junk drawer, each compartment having it’s own scoring rule. Not being able to place a tile ends the game immediately. At 20 minutes with many scoring rule cards, this one just begs to be played multiple times…a sleeper hit for family play with non-gamers.

Strike

(led by Jeremy) 2012 dice chucking game where players are gladiators in an arena, trying to be the last one standing. 

Apiary

(led by Matt) 2023 game where each player controls one of twenty unique factions of bees who have taken over Earth. Factions start the game with a hive, a few resources, and worker bees. A worker-placement, hive-building challenge awaits as players: explore planets, gather resources, develop technologies, and create carvings to demonstrate their faction’s strengths (measured in victory points) over one year’s Flow. However, the Dearth quickly approaches, and your workers can take only a few actions before they must hibernate! This is one of the hottest new games on BGG.

Kitchen Rush revised edition

(led by Anna) 2019 co-op game of operating a busy restaurant – taking orders, sourcing recipes, adding ingredients and spices, cooking and plating meals while trying to keep the customers satisfied. Sand timers represent workers. We successfully got through 6 (of 8) teaching scenarios.

Bamboo

(led by Tim) 2023 drafting and tile placement game where players take on the role of clans that grow bamboo and use the fruits of their labor to take care of their family and thus add happiness points. This is an action management and tile optimization game that is both accessible and deep.
